Sonoma County Beats Vigilantes

Sonoma County clinched a playoff spot by scoring a run in the 13th inning to beat the visiting Vigilantes, 10-9, in a Western League baseball game Friday before an announced sellout crowd of 4,138.

The victory gives Sonoma (26-13) the Southern Division title for the first half of the 90-game season. The second half starts July 13.

It was the fourth consecutive loss at Sonoma for the last-place Vigilantes, who have lost nine of the last 10 on the road. The teams play three more times starting at 7:05 tonight at Saddleback College.
