Opponent--Nashville Metros

Site--Ezell Park, Nashville

Records--Zodiac 5-8, Metros 9-7.

Zodiac update--The Zodiac, which had its losing streak pushed to four with a 4-2 loss Friday at Atlanta, gets a chance to avenge last month’s 4-1 loss to the Metros in Santa Ana.

Metro update--The last time these teams played, Nashville dominated the action, much to the delight of Metro midfielder Luis Berbari, who was attended an open Zodiac tryout before the season. Berbari grew up in Burbank and was a standout at Cal State Bakersfield, so he was disappointed he didn’t get a chance to play professionally in the Southland. “It was kind of ironic that we beat them, 4-1,” Berbari said after the game June 27. “It was kind of nice. So maybe next year they’ll give me a contract, huh?”
