Private School to Get New Name, Look

Share

Oakridge Private School is changing its name.

When the campus opens this fall, it will be the MerryHill School.

Owned and operated by Nobel Education Dynamics, the school will now have the same name as Nobel’s system of 26 private schools in Northern California.

Besides changing its name, the school is conducting a search for a successor to Principal Jayne Daniels, who has resigned to spend more time with her family.

During the summer, the school also is getting a $200,000 face-lift, including new computers, exterior siding, interior paint, a sign and a school van.

The MerryHill School in Coto de Caza is a nonsectarian school for children in preschool through sixth grade.

Purchased four years ago, the private school is Nobel Education Dynamics’ first in Southern California.

Nobel, based in Media, Penn., owns and operates 121 schools nationwide.
