TEE TOTER
Robert M. Stock may have a passion for the pigskin (Letters, July 6), but his clarification regarding NCAA rules for kickers was, one might say, wide to the left. The practice of allowing place-kickers to utilize a tee for extra points and field goals was outlawed several years ago.
As one who still likes to head out to the high school field with a bag of balls, tee and soccer shoes for some invigorating practice sessions, I must point out that the tee is the kicker’s best friend. Have you ever tried to ask anyone to go out and “hold” for you?
