Call Leads Officers to 4 Bodies on Ship
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Three men and a woman were killed and a man was seriously wounded in a predawn shooting aboard a coastal freighter docked on the Miami River, Metro-Dade Police said. The four dead--whom police said were all from the Caribbean--were crew members on the ship, the Belize-registered Vanderpool Express, which had arrived in Miami from Haiti, police said. An apparent survivor in the hospital had called a dockworker, who notified police. Area residents said they heard gunshots before dawn.
