Re “Vigilante Link to Megan’s Law Is Feared in Arson,” July 11:

The only people that need to fear Megan’s Law are those who commit sexual crimes against others. If you do not want your name spread like wildfire around the community, do not commit the crime. It is that simple.

Willie Lee McAlister is lucky that it was just his car that was ruined. There should be no sympathy for sexual predators. Those people who oppose Megan’s Law have the criminal’s best interest at heart, not the victim’s or the future victim’s. The tide of society is changing and we are sick and tired of the liberal laws which serve to protect and mollycoddle those who commit crimes against others. These criminals should never be able to get out of prison, but because they do, we should always monitor them very closely.
