Now, How About Art in the Schools?

“Releasing the Artist Within” (July 8) about art classes in prison was excellent, but I was struck by the irony that art and music have been virtually eliminated from the public schools and national funding for the arts is facing a 90% cut.
Eventually, the only people who will be able to take classes in the arts will be prisoners.
