Barbecue Fund-Raiser to Serve Up Food and Fun

Food and fun will be offered at the San Juan Community Task Force’s 10th annual barbecue Saturday at Mission San Juan Capistrano.

The fund-raising event will include a barbecue-style feast, a wine-and-beer garden, and live entertainment. The task force hopes to clear about $10,000 at the event, its main fund-raiser of the year, said Janice Palermo, a task force director.

The task force is a coalition of residents, representatives of community agencies and service organizations dedicated to enriching the lives of youth and their families.

Doors open for Saturday’s barbecue at 5:30 p.m., with dinner starting at 6 p.m. Tickets, which are $35 for adults and $20 for children 15 and younger, can be bought at the event or by calling the task force office at (714) 493-1951.
