Inglewood-based Imperial Bancorp reported second-quarter net income of $11.0 million, or 40 cents per share, compared with $28.7 million, or $1.10, in the year-ago quarter. . . . British Airways and American Airlines defied critics of their controversial planned alliance by announcing two new deals with Spanish carrier Iberia. The two airlines announced separate agreements to tap into the Spanish carrier’s southern European and Latin American markets.
