Share

Things couldn’t have started better or ended much worse Sunday for the Vigilantes, who lost to Bend, 11-2, in a Western League game at Vince Genna Stadium in Bend, Ore.

The Vigilantes’ Willie Mosher started the game by hitting a home run, his first of the season, but the team didn’t score again until the sixth.

At that point, Bend was leading, 6-1.

Sam Taylor drove in that run with a single off the scoreboard in right field.

The loss drops the Vigilantes to 3-4 in the second half of the season.

Mark Charbonnet, who had two home runs and two singles, drove in six runs for Bend, which is 5-2 in the second half. He has 12 homers this season.

Mike Moutrey, Corey Parker and Sean Drinkwater had the only other hits--all singles--for the Vigilantes.
