Printrak International Inc. said it has acquired a unit of SCC Communications Corp. that provides computer dispatch and records management systems for law enforcement agencies.

Terms of the purchase weren’t disclosed, but Printrak said it expects to take a second-quarter charge from the cash acquisition of the Boulder, Colo., unit, which has received about $5.1 million in contracts this year.

For the second quarter ended Sept. 30, 1996, Printrak earned $305,000, or 3 cents a share, on revenue of $13.5 million. A First Call survey of four analysts estimates the company will earn 10 cents a share in the second quarter this year.
