Datum Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of time and frequency products said net income for the second quarter reached a record $2 million, or 36 cents a share, up from $151,000, or 4 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue increased 64% to $33.1 million from $20.2 million. Net income for the six-month period rose to $3.2 million, or 62 cents a share, from $333,000, or 8 cents a share, for the 1996 first half. Revenue advanced 55% to $61.8 million from $39.9 million.
