Senior Drivers

Re “When Grandma Is a Drug Addict,” by Katherine Dowling, Commentary, July 9: What a ridiculous article. I am 65 years old and walk four miles a day, swim and play tennis. A drug addict? Hardly.

The cars that speed in this town, the cars that tailgate a vehicle, the cars going over 70 miles an hour in a 25-mile-an-hour zone are all driven by teenagers. The horrible accidents on the freeways--teenagers. Wise up, Ms. Dowling. You are very insulting to a sober, law-abiding group of people. Don’t insult senior citizens, please. We are careful drivers.
