Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland has signed a solo management deal with Arnold Stiefel, who handles the careers of Rod Stewart and Toni Braxton, with an eye on moving into film (both acting and soundtracks). While continuing work on a solo album, Weiland is doing a track with the Dust Brothers for the “Great Expectations” movie. Stiefel says that Weiland’s work with STP (which is still officially together) is just “the tip of the iceberg” of what we can expect from the artist. Weiland’s three STP bandmates are completing their “side project” album as the group Talk Show, with a different singer.
