Endocare Names Chief Financial Officer

William R. Hughes has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Endocare Inc., an Irvine manufacturer of medical devices. Hughes most recently served as controller and chief accounting officer for FileNet Corp. Before that, he was a partner at the accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick.

Steve Miller has been appointed vice president and U.S. controller for Ingram Micro Inc., a Santa Ana wholesale distributor of technology products and services. He joined the company in 1992 as assistant controller. In addition, Frank Terence was named vice president of finance and accounting for the Latin American division. He had been senior director of finance and accounting for the Asia Pacific, Latin American and export divisions.

Jennifer Gonzalez has joined the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau as communications manager. She was previously communications coordinator in the public affairs department of Spring PCS.

Dave Chapman has been appointed to direct the real estate consulting services of Haskell & White LLP, a Newport Beach public accounting firm. He was previously principal of Land Feasibility Consultants in Newport Beach.

Robert Wenzel has been elected chairman of the board of the American Red Cross, Orange County chapter. He is partner in the law firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo.

Gary Dysart has joined Psomas & Associates in Costa Mesa as vice president and director of public works consulting. He previously headed his own consulting firm, and before that, was president and chief executive of Willdan Associates.

Karen Conlon has been appointed by state Sen. Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) to serve on a statewide task force to recommend changes in laws governing California’s homeowners associations. Conlon is president of the California Assn. of Community Managers.

Charles J. Casamento has been appointed to the board of directors of Cortex Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Irvine. Casamento is chairman, president and chief executive of RiboGene Inc., a privately held biopharmaceutical company based in Hayward.

Mark C. Seferian has been named development vice president for Birtcher Enterprises in Laguna Niguel. He will manage the coordination and supervision of more than 400,000 square feet of new development. Seferian has more than 13 years’ experience in real estate, including starting his own real estate brokerage firm. Alfred W. Thompson was appointed vice president of acquisitions. He will oversee the acquisition of industrial, hotel, R&D; and office properties in major Western U.S. markets. Before joining Birtcher, Thompson founded the Realty Advisory Group, and served as a senior marketing consultant at Grubb & Ellis.

Joseph Honescko has been selected as the first executive director of the Downtown Anaheim Assn. He was formerly with the FDIC and the Resolution Trust Corp., where he served as managing director of the Coastal Consolidated Office in Costa Mesa and director of the department of settlements and workouts.

Darryl E. White has been appointed president of Diversified Mailing Services Inc. in Fullerton. He joined the company in 1995 as general manager.

Timothy P. Sullivan has been named vice president-general counsel for First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana. He will also retain his current title and responsibilities as national claims counsel. In addition, Patricia Stout has been appointed vice president-associate general counsel. She joined First American two years ago as associate corporate counsel.
