Shooting Suspect Kills Self Near Police Station

NEW HAVEN, Conn. —
A suspect in the fatal shooting of his girlfriend killed himself in front of police headquarters Monday, authorities said.
Officials said Robert Williams, 58, shot himself in the head after getting out of his car at the police station, where he had arranged to turn himself in.
Williams was a suspect in the slaying of Linda Gagum, 31. Police said he had argued with her and was seen leaving her apartment after the shooting Sunday. No other details were immediately available.
