TravelMax Has New Name: Network Holdings

Share

In a move to further consolidate business activity, TravelMax International has changed its name to Network Holdings International Inc.

It’s the latest step toward recovery for the travel company, which temporarily closed its doors last spring because of financial problems, a company spokeswoman said.

Network Holdings and its subsidiaries develop, market and distribute travel-related services. Recently, the Orange County company signed a distribution deal with Links Direct Inc., an Atlanta-based golf products marketing firm.

Network Holdings recently opened offices in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where most of the company’s management team is based. C. Dean Hofmeister, the firm’s chairman, is also chairman of New SeaEscape Cruises, a Fort Lauderdale cruise line. Florida businessmen Glenn Galland and Doug Baetz are majority owners of Network Holdings.

In April, a cash crunch forced the company to lay off employees and shut down its reservation system. The company reopened after existing shareholders provided a cash infusion.
