Matthews Studio to Buy Film Equipment Company
Matthews Studio Equipment Group said it plans to purchase a film equipment rental firm in Florida.
Matthews Studio will pay about $2.6 million in cash and stock to buy Filmtrade Equipment Rentals Inc. in Miami. The deal will expand Matthews’ business into Florida and Central and South America.
Matthews Studio, based in Burbank, manufactures and rents film, video and lighting equipment for the entertainment industry.
