City Delays Action on Development Proposal

Share

City officials want to know how traffic will be affected before they approve a general plan amendment that would allow a development east of Interstate 5.

Council members this week postponed action on the proposal from Santa Ana-based developer San Juan Meadows until they can see a traffic impact report. The developer seeks to build 275 single-family homes and 165 senior housing units in a project that would include nearly 73 acres of open space and a 2-acre public area.

The council also asked staff members to make sure the Forester Planned Community will be compatible with the larger Pacific Point development, also slated for the area.
