Woman, Girl Struck by Car and Injured
A woman who was crossing the street with her 11-month-old daughter was struck by a car Friday night and critically injured, police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was crossing Fairview Road south of Baker Street about 10 p.m. when a sedan struck her, Police Sgt. Jerry Holloway said. She was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana with head injuries, police said. The daughter suffered minor injuries, Holloway said.
The driver of the car has not been cited, and police are continuing to investigate, Holloway said.
