Garden of Eden ‘Dolls’ It Up

Share

Although the Garden of Eden opened its antique Moroccan doors just two weeks ago, the club’s already the local of choice for the private party set. Eden’s thrown a half dozen galas, and the gala-ist of all occurred last Friday, when Detour magazine sponsored a party there for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s 30th anniversary screening of the all-time cult favorite “The Valley of the Dolls.” On hand was actress and “Doll” soul survivor, Barbara Parkins, looking lovely in a red Versace dress. Also in the Garden was Interscope Records mogul Ted Fields (accompanied by his usual bevy of babes), actress Illeana Douglas, “Beverly Hills, 90210” gals about town Jenny Garth and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, and supermodel Marcus. A notable no-show was Courtney Love, who had been at the screening but who left MTV’s Chris Connelly waiting in Eden all night (she was supposed to do an exclusive interview for the network). That’s Hollywood, folks. . . .

The C-Bar in Beverly Hills, a new caviar and cocktail lounge, attracted the likes of musician Robbie Robertson, actor Billy Zane and artists Ed Moses and Paul Graham to one of its grand opening soirees last week. The lucky guests got to sample three different caviar as well as some Gravlax rolls. . . ..

Lastly, on Nov. 30, the Troubadour requests the presence of those who care about the plight of Native Americans. The event is a benefit to raise money and awareness against the forceable relocation of Navajo and Hopi Indians. Among the artists scheduled to perform are Venice, Tryptich, Beth Hart, Elk Whistle and more. For info, call (310) 276-1158.
