Masked Gunmen Rob 2 Sisters at Home
Two women were held at gunpoint late Sunday night by masked robbers who stole cash and jewelry before fleeing, authorities said. Neither woman was injured.
The two sisters, ages 35 and 27, were expecting a friend to arrive about 11 p.m. at their apartment in the 15000 block of Weddington Street, said Los Angeles Police Det. Greg Demirjian.
However, when one of the women answered a knock at the door about 11:30 p.m., a man armed with a shotgun and three men wearing bandannas over their faces entered, demanding money and jewelry, Demirjian said.
They fled with two rings and about $100, he said.
Police said they suspect that the robbers may know the two victims or their friend.
