Spotlight: Race, Sex Bias Suit Filed Against Western Digital

Share

Two black former employees of Western Digital Corp. have sued the Irvine company, alleging race and sex discrimination. One of them, who was a manager at the firm, was once featured in a “diversity” photo in the company manual. Ronald Sinclair and Rosalind Gulley claim the company favored young white men during cost-cutting moves last year. The suit seeks unspecified damages and an acknowledgment of wrongdoing. Western Digital said race, age and gender played no part in the cutbacks.
