Volunteer Center Publishes Directory
The Volunteer Center of Greater Orange County counts on the holiday season to encourage people to donate time and resources to worthy organizations countywide.
To simplify the process, the organization has published a holiday volunteer directory, listing 80 agencies throughout the county that are in need of volunteers. The listings note what kind of help is needed.
For example, volunteers are needed to pick up and make deliveries; donate toys, clothes and food; sing carols for senior citizens, and plan holiday parties for underprivileged children.
The 24-page directory is available on the Volunteer Center’s web site, https://www.volunteercenter.org or by calling (714) 953-5757.
The center, established in 1958, mobilizes more than 33,000 volunteers each year to help 2,000 local nonprofit organizations.
