Alpine Village Inn, 833 W. Torrance Blvd., Torrance. (310) 327-4834. A European mini-mall with a Bavarian twist that offers a bit of everything and country western line dancing. Free dance lessons offered Tuesday through Thursday, 7 to 8 p.m. and swinging country music till midnight. Two-drink minimum. 21 and over.

The Cowboy Attitude Country Western Dance, The Reseda Country Club, 18419 Sherman Way. (818) 559-7094. A country western dance party started on Friday nights last month. Cowboy Attitude sponsors country western night at Aftershock in Studio City on Thursdays. No cover. No age limit.
