An Internal Revenue Service agent who testified about taxpayer abuse to a Senate committee has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the agency and her supervisor, her attorney said.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court, charges that Jennifer Long, who is white, was the victim of racial and age discrimination by her boss, who is black. Among the allegations in the suit are that “her supervisor screamed at her and called her a lazy, stupid liar.”

Attorney David Lopez said Thursday that the suit was part of a protracted grievance process against her boss and had nothing to do with her appearance in Washington. It did not specify the amount of damages sought.
