Health Fair to Offer Free Testing, Advice
A community health fair in Lincoln Heights today will offer information on such topics as preventive care, health-related careers and violence prevention, organizers said.
“We’re are reaching out to everyone in the community, especially the children,” said Assembly Majority Leader Antonio Villaraigosa (D-Los Angeles), whose 45th District includes Lincoln Heights.
The health fair, called “Bridging Communities Through Health,” will feature free testing for diabetes, tuberculosis, glucose, HIV / AIDS, breast cancer and cholesterol.
The fair will be held at Lincoln High School, 3501 N. Broadway, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
