Benefit Planned for Anti-Drug Program

Share

The 10th anniversary of the Drug Use is Life Abuse program will be marked Sunday by a fund-raiser at the Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin that will feature an all-day buffet, music and casino-style entertainment.

Admission is $75 and proceeds will go to the anti-drug program, which was started a decade ago by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and corporate partners. The program reaches out to schools and community groups to educate youngsters about the dangers of drug use.

The Sunday event, which runs from 4 to 8 p.m., has the theme “Joining the Winner’s Circle,” a nod to the museum’s collection of 65 vintage and historic automobiles.

The museum celebration is in conjunction with a golf tournament Monday at the Pelican Hill golf course in Newport Coast, but registration for that event is full, organizers said.

The Marconi Automotive Museum is at 1302 Industrial Drive in Tustin and can be reached at (714) 258-3001.
