From Times Wire Reports

A Norwegian adventurer missing for almost a month emerged from the Alaskan wilderness, exhausted and thin, police said. Oddarne Skaldebo, 51, walked into Koyukuk village, his original destination in a trek through the Yukon River wilderness. A pilot dropped off Skaldebo, a geologist, Aug. 18 at a lake northwest of Koyukuk for his 75-mile hike. Skaldebo said improper boots contributed to problems in hiking through soggy tundra toting a 90-pound pack.
