3 Men Are Sought in Robbery of Jewelry Dealer
Police were searching Monday for three robbers who ambushed a jewelry dealer outside his home last weekend.
The men, one brandishing a handgun, confronted the 40-year-old merchant Sunday afternoon as he got out of his car in the 16800 block of Green Street, Sgt. William Stuart said.
The men stole a sack of jewelry before speeding off in a white, four-door Nissan Sentra, police said.
The merchant was not injured. Police declined to disclose the value of the stolen jewelry.
The armed suspect was described as a male Latino in his 20s, about 5-feet-6, 160 pounds, with black hair and a “very scarred, possibly disfigured, uneven-looking face,” Stuart said. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt, jeans and a blue baseball cap.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (714) 536-5951.
