The Encino Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents and the local business community to visit the group’s newly expanded offices at a daylong open house Thursday.

The long-awaited $200,000 renovation of the group’s Balboa Boulevard facility includes 1,200 square feet of new office space and updated computer and technical equipment.

Chamber CEO Richard Leyner said the new facilities will be an important resource for Encino businesses, visitors, residents and local schools. A new conference/resource room will display materials such as area maps, local business coupons and brochures from chamber members.

“We are proud that the construction phase has been completed and the entire community can take advantage of an improved facility,” Leyner said.

Chamber officials also announced that a welcome luncheon will be held for newly elected City Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski at Braemar Country Club on Oct. 30. The price is $40.

Miscikowski was elected to represent the 11th District, which includes Encino, after the retirement of her former boss, longtime Councilman Marvin Braude.

Thursday’s open house will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the chamber office, 4933 Balboa Blvd. in Encino. A chamber mixer will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. following the open house. For more information, call (818) 789-4711.
