Medstone International Inc.: The Aliso Viejo provider of treatment for renal stones and other medical problems said net income for the third quarter rose 42% to $1.2 million, or 21 cents a share, from $812,386, or 15 cents a share, for the prior-year period. Revenue advanced 33% to $5.7 million from $4.3 million. Year-to-date net income was $3 million, or 55 cents a share. For the like period last year, the company posted a net loss of $1.6 million, or 29 cents a share, which included a $5.5 million settlement expense to end class-action litigation. Revenue was up 27% to $16.3 million from $12.8 million.
