Elderly Woman Dies From Crash Injuries
CAPISTRANO BEACH —
An 86-year-old Capistrano Beach woman who was struck by a van as she crossed Pacific Coast Highway three weeks ago died Wednesday of her injuries, authorities said.
The afternoon of Oct. 2, Madalyn Wirth was crossing the highway at Palisades Drive, Sheriff’s Lt. Orville King said. A driver turning right onto the highway didn’t see her in the crosswalk and struck her, a report said.
She was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo.
