Kaynar Technologies Inc.: The Fullerton maker of specialty fasteners and fastening systems reported that net income for the third quarter rose to $3.4 million, or 38 cents a share, from $1.2 million, or 18 cents a share, a year ago. Sales gained 46% to $37.9 million from $26 million. Year-to-date net income advanced to $8.5 million, or $1.07 a share, from $3.6 million, or 53 cents a share, for the 1996 nine-month period. Sales were up 54% to $107.3 million from $69.9 million.
