Vigil to Remember Victims of Violence
Carrying flowers and candles, Oxnard activists will hold a vigil tonight to remember victims of domestic violence.
Organized by members of numerous community groups from Ventura County, including the Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence and Latino advocacy group El Concilio, the event will begin with a procession at 5:30 p.m.
Participants will walk from Del Sol Park, at Rose Avenue and Camino del Sol, to Guadalupe Church, at Juanita Avenue and Camino del Sol. At the church, there will be a 7 p.m. Mass to offer support to victims of violence.
