Businessman Wins Environmental Award
The Bolsa Chica Conservancy will give its first environmental conservancy award to Huntington Beach manufacturer Ed Laird.
Laird, 55, is owner of Coating Resources Corp. and president of Air Quality Control Environmental Engineering.
Peter Green, chairman of the conservancy, said its board of directors selected Laird because of his success as a businessman combined with his community activism and environmental concerns.
The award will be given during a Nov. 10 luncheon at the Seacliff Country Club, 6501 Palm Ave.
