Fidelity National Financial Inc.: The Irvine provider of title insurance and related services reported record net income for the third quarter of $15.9 million, or $1.06 a share, more than double the $6.3 million, or 44 cents a share, for the third quarter of 1996. Revenue increased 19% to $197.9 million from $166.7 million. Net income for the nine-month period rose 52% to $28 million, or $1.90 a share, which included a gain of $2.5 million from the sale of a majority interest of the company’s subsidiary, American Title Co., and the sale of the company’s former home office building. Net income for the year-earlier period was $18.4 million, or $1.29 a share. Revenue was up 14% to $529.6 million from $464.7 million.
