Core Inc.: The Irvine provider of health care and disability management services said third-quarter net income was $1.1 million, or 14 cents a share. That contrasts with a net loss of $1.3 million, or 21 cents a share, which includes a $2-million charge for a write-off related to the acquisition of AmHealth. Revenue increased 40% to $10.5 million from $7.5 million. Net income for the first nine months totaled $1.9 million, or 25 cents a share, contrasted with a year-earlier net loss of $220,346, or 4 cents a share. Revenue was up 34% to $27.6 million from $20.6 million.
