Simulation Sciences Plans Stock Offering

Simulation Sciences Inc. is planning to offer another 2.6 million shares of common stock, according to documents filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The software provider said existing stockholders will sell 100,000 of the shares.

Proceeds from the offering will be used for working capital and general purposes. BT Alex. Brown, Wessels, Arnold & Henderson and Soundview Financial Group Inc. are underwriting the offering, which includes an over-allotment of 390,000 shares.

Following the offering, the company will have 13.5 million common shares outstanding. The company’s stock closed Wednesday at $19.
