Child Care

I see the Clintons have found a new “crisis” to exploit--this one being child care. On Oct. 22 they tried to calm some skeptics by claiming that there would be no plans for new federal initiatives. Then on Oct. 23 they exposed their hand for real when they unveiled a program that would cost a mere $300 million over five years with a more comprehensive proposal coming next year. Sounds like federal involvement to me!

I ask, as the Democrats ask whenever Republicans propose a reduction in taxes, “Who is going to pay for this?” and is this within next year’s budget? Hey, Bill and Hillary--maybe this “crisis” could be solved by a simple reduction in taxes that would allow people to keep a few more of their dollars and rectify whatever appears to be wrong or unfair.
