Printrak Plans Acquisition
ANAHEIM — Printrak International Inc. announced plans to acquire SunRise Imaging, a Northern California maker of image digitizing systems.
Printrak, which makes automated fingerprint identification systems used by law enforcement agencies, did not disclose the financial details of the deal.
If SunRise shareholders approve the acquisition, the Fremont-based firm will operate as a subsidiary of Anaheim-based Printrak.
SunRise and Printrak have worked on projects together in the past, including microfilm conversion for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police criminal history system.
Printrak stock prices dropped 13 cents a share Tuesday, closing at $11.50 in Nasdaq trading.
