Suspect in Anaheim Shooting Arrested After Brief Standoff
After a brief standoff Sunday, police arrested a 21-year-old Anaheim man on suspicion of shooting his mother’s boyfriend during an argument in July, police said.
Richard Xavier Frisbee was wanted on a $250,000 arrest warrant for attempted murder in a July 13 shooting in the 400 block of South Clementine Street, Sgt. Joe Vargas said.
Officers received information Sunday that Frisbee was at an apartment in the 300 block of South Helena Street and made the arrest.
“He did engage in a lot of verbal exchanges from the balcony that attracted a lot of attention,” Vargas said. “Like, ‘If you want to arrest me, come and get me.’ ”
About 3 p.m., after a 30-minute standoff, Frisbee was taken into custody without incident, Vargas said. He was unarmed.
The July shooting occurred after Frisbee went to visit his mother and got in an argument with her boyfriend, police said.
The man was seriously injured but recovered from his wounds, Vargas said.
