Recharged Clinton Ends 3-Week Break
President Clinton returned to the White House, marking the end of a three-week vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. The casually dressed president arrived by helicopter on the White House’s south lawn along with First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, returning from London after representing the United States at Princess Diana’s funeral, and daughter Chelsea. Clinton has “really had a chance to relax and spend some time thinking and recharging his batteries, so I think he’s looking forward to getting back to work,” spokesman Joe Lockhart said.
