Share

In an effort to reduce crime, the Orange County Probation Department is seeking volunteers to work with adult offenders and at-risk youths.

Applications are being accepted through Sept. 18 for a new training class, which will begin in February.

Volunteers assist full-time probation officers by monitoring school attendance, consulting with teachers and parents, and providing tutoring. Duties may also include assisting both youthful and adult offenders with job placement and other support.
