Library Features Gold Rush, Crockett

The Great California Gold Rush will be the topic of two presentations at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library this weekend.
Today, there will be readings, designed for those age 7 and older, starting at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The library will also feature a petting zoo, two country bands, pony rides, horse-drawn wagon rides and face painting. The events are free.
On Sunday, Lane Davies, star of the television series “Santa Barbara,” will explore the wit and wisdom of Davy Crockett in the one-man play “Crockett by Himself.” The $5 admission price will include admission to the library Sunday only.
General admission to the library is $4 for adults and free for youths under 16.
