Splash update--This is the second of consecutive games against the Sandsharks, who lost at America West Arena, 7-4, on Friday. The Splash clinched a playoff spot Saturday, when Seattle defeated Arizona, 6-5. Player/coach Dale Ervine, who played Friday despite his father’s death Wednesday, scored the first four goals of the game, giving him 21 this season. He also had an assist, raising his season total to 21. Danny Barber’s power-play goal came less than two minutes after Arizona pulled to within 5-4 in the fourth quarter.
Sandshark update--Arizona is playing for the third consecutive night. The Sandsharks won’t be helped by playing on the road. After winning four in a row under new Coach Petar Baralic, the Sandsharks have lost two in a row.
