Tax Seminar Offered for Small Businesses
Several government agencies are offering a free tax seminar for small businesses Sept. 27 at Cal State Fullerton.
The seminar will begin at 9 a.m. and will feature workshops on reporting rules for employment taxes, independent contractors vs. employees, the audit and appeals process and preparing a sales and use tax return.
Seminar sponsors include the university’s School of Business and Economics, the state Franchise Tax Board, Orange County treasurer-tax collector’s and assessor’s offices and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Small Business Administration, Internal Revenue Service and other government agencies.
