Sears, Roebuck & Co. has been given more time to respond to a federal judge’s order on credit card debt that could result in a fine of as much as $100 million. U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Samuel Bufford in Los Angeles postponed a hearing in the Sears case until Oct. 9 after the retailer replaced its local attorney. The hearing was originally scheduled for today.
