Here Comes the Bride--Again--With a Guide
A second marriage ceremony can easily be as fulfilling as the first--as long as the bride has a guide to help her plan it. Beth Reed Ramirez, a 38-year-old Orange County resident, promises to provide guidance with Bride Again, a monthly magazine aimed at older women that is scheduled to start publishing in January. Advertising will touch on subjects--teeth whiteners and products to hide gray hair--that blushing brides rarely contemplate. The magazine also promises advice on handling complex protocol issues and first-person accounts in which survivors tell all. Reed Ramirez, who dreamed up the idea while planning her second marriage, describes potential readers as older and well-heeled. Two-thirds of second-time brides are at least 30 years of age and the group’s median income is $47,000.
