Chapman’s Ranking Improves to 16th
Chapman University has increased its standing in U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of Western comprehensive colleges and universities.
The university won the 16th slot out of 112 colleges listed, with the score based on such factors as test results of incoming students, faculty resources, graduation rates, alumni satisfaction and reputation, university officials said.
In last year’s ranking, the school reached the 21st position.
One of the most significant improvements is in the ranking for reputation, said Jim Doti, president of the university, in a memo.
“With significant increases that we anticipate in the quality and caliber of our incoming class of students this year, I believe we are well positioned to continue our forward progress in the rankings next year,” Doti said.
